NCC Men's Basketball hosted Ozark Christian College on January 7.
The Sentinels started the game on an 11-2 run, giving them the early lead. NCC would continue to build on their lead and extended it to 17-points at the 8-minute mark (32-15). Ozark Christian worked to cut down the margin, but the Sentinels worked to maintain their lead. NCC held on to their 17-points lead at the half (49-32).
In the second half, Ozark Christian put together a 13-2 run, cutting the lead to 6 in the early minutes of the half (51-45). NCC managed to bump the lead back up to double digits for a majority of the half. With just under 4 minutes remaining, a three-pointer from Ozark Christian cut the lead down to single digits (80-71). Ozark Christian managed to come within five points of NCC but the ultimately the Sentinels pulled off the 90-82 victory.
DJ Hanes led the Sentinels with 41 points.
Matt Lillquist put together a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Drue Aguilera added 14 points and
Devin Jones finished with 6 assists.
For Ozark Christian, Bryce Money scored 27 points.
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Paragould Arkansas to take on Crowley's Ridge College on Saturday, January 12 at 4p.m.
