NCC Men's Basketball hosted Emmaus Bible College on January 5.
Emmaus was first to score but the Sentinels quickly gained the lead. Just under five minutes into the game NCC had already built their lead up to double digits (16-6). Emmaus stayed close and cut the lead to 1 with just under 9 minutes remaining in the half (27-26). The Sentinels held on to their lead and went into halftime with a 14-point advantage over Emmaus (54-40).
The Sentinels continued their offensive momentum in the second half and extended their lead to 30 points by the 8-minute mark (77-47). In the end the Sentinels came out with the 33-point win against Emmaus (100-67).
Jeff Butler had an outstanding performance shooting 86% from three (6-7). Butler ended with a career-high 20 points.
Drue Aguilera also totaled 20 points and
DJ Hanes finished with 17 points and 8 assists.
TJ Rivera added 10 points and
Matt Lillquist led the team in rebounds with 10.
Devante King added 5 points and 6 rebounds in 4 minutes of play.
For Emmaus, Chaz Vasser scored 25 points.
Next, the Sentinels will host Ozark Christian College on Monday, January 7 at 7p.m.
