NCC Men's Basketball traveled to Lincoln, Illinois to take on Lincoln Christian University on January 25. 
 
The Sentinels got off to a rough start trailing Lincoln Christian by 18 (3-21). NCC began to get their offense going, however, Lincoln Christian did not let up. At the half, NCC trailed by 31 points (18-49).
 
In the second half, the Sentinels slowly began to cut into Lincoln Christian's lead. NCC would go on to cut the lead down to 18 points, however, they were unable to come any closer. In the end, the Sentinels came up short against Lincoln Christian (73-93).
 
DJ Hanes led the Sentinels with 35 points. Hanes also recorded 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. Devin Jones finished with 13 points and 3 assists and Matt Lillquist added 6 points and 7 rebounds.
 
For Lincoln Christian, Cornelius Longhorn finished with 23 points followed by Zach Thompson with 22 points.
 
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Hastings, Nebraska to take on Hastings College on Wednesday, January 30 at 8p.m.
