NCC Men's Basketball hosted College of the Ozarks on February 12.
 
The Sentinels got off to a good start leading College of the Ozarks 12-4 in opening minutes of play. NCC continued to stay in the lead but College of the Ozarks was slowly cutting into their lead. With just under 13 minutes remaining in the fist half, College of the Ozarks took back the lead for the first time since they led 2-0 (19-21). NCC quickly found themselves down by 7 (36-43). An 11-0 run from College of the Ozarks put the Sentinels down by 16 points at the half (38-54).
 
In the second half, the Sentinels continued to fight hard, but the sharp shooting from College of the Ozarks made it difficult to put together a comeback. NCC cut the lead to 11 points with just under 11 minutes remaining, however, College of the Ozarks answered with a 12-0 run, which bumped the lead up to 23 points (56-79). In the end, the Sentinels came up short (72-97).
 
Drue Aguilera led the Sentinels with a career-high 31 points, shooting 67% from the field (10-15) and an impressive 80% from beyond the arc (8-10). Matt Lillquist totaled 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. TJ Rivera and Chris Pendley each added 8 points.
 
For College of the Ozarks, Brandt Cochran scored 30 points.
 
Next, the Sentinels will host Crowley's Ridge College on Saturday, February 11 at 4p.m. for Senior Night.
