ABERDEEN, SD - Women's Basketball traveled to play at Presentation College. This was to be the second matchup between the two programs this year. The Sentinels defeated the Saints 65-55 on December 5th. The Sentinels were looking for the season sweep, but the Saints wer prepared to defend their home court. Presentation came on strong early taking a 17-11 lead after the first quarter. Nebraska Christian regrouped and battled back in the second quarter, winning that quarter by 3. NCC went into half trailing by just 3 with the score 33-36. However, the Saints went on a big run in the third quarter resulting in an 18 point advantage going into the fourth. That proved too much to overcome for the Sentinels as they fell on the road to Presentation with a final score of 88-64.
Despite the loss,
Jazmyne Santiel was fantastic offensively. Santiel scored a game high 38 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for NCC.
Bianca Casares was the only other Sentinel in double figures with 13 points and 6 rebounds.
The Sentinels fall to 9-12 after the loss with 3 games remaining. Nebraska Christian will host Kansas Christian College for Senior Night on February 21st. The Sentinels will honor seniors
