DENVER, CO - Nebraska Christain Women's Basketball was on the road at Johnson & Wales University for the first of back-to-back games. The Sentinels and Wildcats were neck and neck early. NCC was able to take the 14-12 edge at the end of the first quarter. The Sentinels then found a groove in the second quarter and went into halftime with a 32-20 lead. However, the Wildcats weren't done and cut the lead down to 9 after a 20 point third quarter. The Sentinel rose to the challenge and answered with a 21 point fourth quarter of their own. Nebraska Christian won the contest 70-59.
Two Senior Sentinels notched double-doubles in the victory.
Bianca Casares dominated the interior and posted 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Jazmyne Santiel had a game-high 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Camry Porter added 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Jessica Hinde also grabbed 11 rebounds for the Sentinels.
Nebraska Christian is now 11-12 on the year and hopes to win their final regular season game on Leap Day at JWU again. A win would grant the Sentinels a birth at the NCCAA DI National Tournament next month in Winona Lake, IN on the campus of Grace College.
