OMAHA, NE - The Lady Sentinels traveled across town for a basketball matchup with the College of Saint Mary's Flames. The NCC women were playing their 3rd game in two days and just ran out of gas. The Flames were able to get out to quick start leading 17-9 after the first quarter. They doubled the lead in the second to have a 16 point lead at half. The Sentinels battled, but could not chip away. College of Saint Mary's won with a final score of 77-56.
The Sentinels were led by
Bianca Casares who posted 16 points and 8 rebounds.
Jazmyne Santiel contributed 14 and 7 while going 9 of 10 from the free throw line.
Jessica Hinde led the team with 9 rebounds and added 8 points including a pair of threes.
The Sentinels went 1-2 in that tough 3 games in 4 days stretch. NCC will now have a little over a week off from play to get refreshed before facing a regional opponent in Ecclesia College on the road January 18th.
