SPRINGDALE, AR - Nebraska Christian College escaped the winter storms and headed south to face off against a regional opponent in Ecclesia College. NCC was fresh off an 11 day stretch without a game and appeared well rested in the early going. The Sentinels got out and ran to a 28-18 lead at the half. The Ecclesia Royals fought hard, but once the Sentinels shook off the rust at half time they had a plus 18 3rd quarter stretching the lead to 28. Nebraska Christian would stroll through the fourth and finish with a 69-50 victory.
Jazmyne Santiel was back to her scoring ways and was high scorer of the game with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Camry Porter chipped in 5 points and 9 rebounds including 7 offensive rebounds.
Justys Irish has been a solid second semester addition for the Sentinels. She is starting to get a feel for the college game in her true freshmen season and posted a career best 16 points on an efficient 6-11 performance.
The Sentinels will travel to Emmaus College on Saturday the 25th. Nebraska Christian looks to improve upon their season opener with Emmaus where they lost 82-50.
