NCC Women's Basketball traveled to Paragould, Arkansas to take on Crowley's Ridge College on January 12.
Crowley's Ridge was first to score but the Sentinels went on a 22-6 run giving them a 14-point early in the contest (22-8). Six unanswered points from Crowley's Ridge cut NCC's lead to 8 at the end of the first quarter (22-14). The Sentinels slowly built on their lead and secured a 17-point lead going into halftime (41-24). Crowley's Ridge tried to cut into the Sentinels' lead, however NCC continued their offensive momentum and pulled out the 86-67 victory over Crowley's Ridge.
In the second half, the Sentinels extended their lead to 20 points and held a 19-point lead at the end of the third quarter (58-39).
Jazmyne Santiel led the Sentinels with 32 points.
Camry Porter recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Kayla Bloodworth added 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 blocks.
Alexis Frondarina added 10 points and
Jessica Hinde grabbed 9 rebounds and had 5 assists.
For Crowley's Ridge, Hannah Mauldin totaled 16 points followed by Elly Burrell with 15 points.
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Overland Park, Kansas to take on Kansas Christian College on Tuesday, January 22 at 5p.m.
