NCC Men's Soccer traveled to Belton, Missouri to take on Calvary University on August 27.
Both teams started out strong defensively, not allowing any goals for the majority of the first half.
Luis Lemus kicked off scoring for the Sentinels and scored back-to-back goals giving NCC the 2-0 edge over Calvary at the half.
In the second half, the Sentinels continued their offensive run with another goal from
Luis Lemus, completing the first Hat Trick in Sentinel history. by the end of the game, five Sentinels had scored while managing to shut out Calvary, making it NCC's first win of the season.
The Sentinels recorded 34 shots (10 on goal) and converted on 9 shot attempts.
Luis Lemus led the Sentinels with an impressive four goals making him the first Sentinel to record a Hat Trick.
Efren Morones scored two goals and
Drew Bruce,
Jael Resendiz, and
Zach Gomez each contributed one goal. Goalkeeper
Dakota Fox had two saves.
