NCC Women's Basketball traveled to Storm Lake, Iowa to take on Buena Vista University on December 3.
Both teams started off evenly and were tied 8-8 midway through the first quarter. Buena Vista finished the quarter on an 11-2 run, putting the Sentinels down by 9 at the end of the first quarter (10-19). In the second quarter, Buena Vista began to gain some traction and extended their lead to 15 going into halftime. At the half, NCC trailed 22-37.
In the second half, the Sentinels pulled back within single digits, however they still trailed by 12 after the third quarter (38-50). NCC cut into the lead once again in the fourth quarter but were unable to over come the deficit, giving NCC the 54-67 loss to Buena Vista.
Jazmyne Santiel finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
Alexis Frondarina scored 9 points followed by
Camry Porter with 7 points.
For Buena Vista, Holly Schneider finished with 18 points.
Next, the Sentinels will host Kansas Christian College on Tuesday, December 4 at 6p.m.
