NCC Falls to Hope International University

NCC Women's Basketball traveled to Fullerton, California to participate in the Hope International University Classic on November 19 and 20. First, the Sentinels played Hope International University on November 19 in the historic first meeting between the two sister schools.
 
Hope added the first points to the board, gaining the opening lead that they would never relinquish. The Sentinels quickly found themselves down by double digits. At the end of the first quarter, NCC trailed by 9 (15-24). In the second quarter, Hope continued to build on their lead, while the Sentinels found themselves at a 27-point deficit going into halftime (33-60).
 
NCC worked to cut into Hope's lead, however, they were only able to come within 22 points. At the end of the third quarter, the Sentinels were down 46-74. Hope continued their offensive momentum and ended with a 32-point victory over NCC.
 
Jazmyne Santiel recorded a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Santiel also dished out 4 assists. Kayla Bloodworth was one rebound shy of a double-double with 18 points and 9 rebounds.
 
For Hope, Rhianne Omori finished with 25 points followed by Imari Clinton with 22 points.
 
Next, the Sentinels will take on University of St. Katherine in their second and final game of the Hope International University Classic on Tuesday, November 20 at 7p.m. (CST)/5p.m. (PST).
