NCC Comes Out On Top On Senior Night
NCC Women's Basketball closed out their home games for the 2018-19 season by hosting Crowley's Ridge College on February 16. Seniors Jessica Hinde, Jerrica Perez, Alexis Frondarina, Kayla Bloodworth, and Tristyn Dunivant were recognized prior to the game for Senior Night.
The Sentinels got off to a quick start and led by 12 points at the end of the first quarter (23-11). In the second quarter, NCC doubled their score while holding Crowley's Ridge to 7 points for the quarter. Going into halftime, the Sentinels led by 25 points (43-18).
In the second half, NCC picked up where they left off and extend their lead to 29 points at the end of the third quarter (64-35). In the end, the Sentinels came out with the commanding 33-point victory (83-50).
Kayla Bloodworth finished with her 13th career triple double with 19 points, 20 rebounds, and 16 blocks. Bloodworth also had 5 assists. Jessica Hinde had a season-high 14 points along with 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Alexis Frondarina ended with 7 points and 3 assists followed by Jerrica Perez with 6 points and 5 rebounds. Tristyn Dunivant totaled 5 points and 4 rebounds and Jazmyne Santiel added 15 points.
For Crowley's Ridge, Hannah Mauldin scored 19 points.
Next, the Sentinels will close out their regular season games with a trip to Denver Colorado to take on Johnson & Wales University on Friday February 22 at 5p.m. and Saturday February 23 at 1p.m.
