JOPLIN, MO - The NCC Women's Basketball Team was on the road against the Ozark Christian College Ambassadors. The Sentinels roared out to an early 1st quarter lead including an early hot streak by Senior Guard
Jazmyne Santiel. Santiel would go on to lead all scorers with 41 points and 12 rebounds for the contest. Despite the early success, OCC would methodically chip away into the lead. The Sentinels would surrender the lead for the first time with under 1 minute to go. However, NCC responded well and
Bianca Casares made a layup to tie the game and send it to overtime. Once in the overtime period the Sentinels never looked back and secured an 8 point lead.
All 5 starters for the Sentinels scored 8 points or more as they accomplished a true team win. The coaching staff for the Sentinels were very pleased with the resolve of the team and their ability to win in a multiple of ways.
NCC will have a quick turn-around when they go to play Manhattan Christian College on December 12th.
