MOORE, OK - The Nebraska Christian College Sentinels Women's Basketball Team visited Randall University and left with their first win of the season. NCC and Randall played tough basketball throughout the contest. Each team went on multiple runs, but the game was always close. NCC had the lead after the first quarter, but Randall roared back with 27 second quarter points to take the lead into half. Randall's lead was cut down to 4 heading into the fourth quarter. The Sentinels held Randall to just 10 points in the final quarter and secured the victory.
Randall had 5 players score in double figures, but it wasn't enough as NCC senior guard
Jazmyne Santiel led all scorers with 38 and
Bianca Casares add 15 points and 9 rebounds to put the Sentinels over the edge. Coach Hall was impressed with the teamwork and persistence to overcome adversity. Coach Carlson noted, "Randall set the tempo early, but our girls made the necessary adjustments to play our game and it paid off."
The Sentinels will look to turn this win into a streak on December 5th when they host Presentation College.
