MANHATTAN, KS - Nebraska Christian faced rival Manhattan Christian College for the second time this season. In the first game, NCC ran away with a victory at the Classic for Christ. Manhattan was determined to not let that happen on their home court. The Sentinel defense showed up in the first half holding the Thunder to just 32 points at the break. NCC held a 12 point lead at the break and looked to stretch it out. However, MCC would not go down without a fight. The Thunder roared back in the second half and cut what was once a 19 point lead all the way down to 3 multiple times. Each time, NCC would respond and ensure they didn't lose the lead or the game. The Sentinels had to get a final stop at the end to close out the 89-86 victory.
The Sentinels found offense in multiple places in this one.
Isaiah Collier directed traffic in the Manhattan zone contributing 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Uzi Felix paced the game with 26 points and added 9 rebounds.
Jeff Butler was also a factor with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Nebraska Christian will have an exhibition with NCAA D2 Newman University before going on break for the holidays. The Sentinels will return with another NCAA D2 exhibition at Kearney University on January 1st. The first official game of 2020 will come at Bellevue University on January 4th.
