The Sentinels Come Up Short Against Central Christian

NCC Men's Basketball traveled to McPherson, Kansas to finish out their season by taking on Central Christian College on February 20.

Central Christian took the lead from the opening minute of the game. The Sentinels tied the game 5-5. Central Christian went on to extend their lead throughout the half, leading by as many as 22 points (23-45). NCC managed to cut the lead to 16 points by halftime (34-50). 

In the second half, the Sentinels worked to cut into the lead. By the 14-minute mark, NCC had pulled within 3 points (57-60). Central Christian answered with a 9-2 run, extending their lead back up to 10 (59-69). NCC continued to work to put themselves back in the game, however, they could only pull within 5 points of Central Christian. In the end, the Sentinels suffered the 93-99 loss. 

DJ Hanes shattered his previous career-high (48) by scoring an impressive 63 points. Hanes also reached 2,000 points during the game. Matt Lillquist scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. TJ Rivera finished with 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. 

Central Christian's leading scorer was Jubril Osagie with 24 points.
