The Sentinels Drop to Presentation
NCC Women's Basketball hosted Presentation College on February 3.
The Sentinels took the early 9-4 lead, however, Presentation closed the quarter on a 9-0 run to put them up 13-9. Both teams exchanged buckets in the second quarter, however Presentation held the lead consistently throughout the quarter. Going into halftime, NCC trailed (31-26).
Presentation went on a 10-0 run in the third quarter, which extended their lead to 17-points. A 3-pointer from the Sentinels cut the lead to 14 going into the fourth quarter (48-34). NCC tried to close the gap in the fourth quarter, in the end Presentation came out with the 63-48 victory over the Sentinels.
Kayla Bloodworth recorded her 11
th double-double of the season with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Bloodworth also blocked 8 shots.
Janice Saulters had 9 points and
Jessica Hinde had 9 assists.
Presentation's leading scorer was Allison Cox with 16 points.
Next, the Sentinels will host Dordt College on Wednesday, February 7 at 7p.m.
