NCC Women's Basketball traveled to Aberdeen, South Dakota to take on Presentation College on November 7.
Presentation started off strong, building an 8-point lead in the first quarter (11-19). By the end of the quarter, the Sentinels had cut the lead in half and trailed by 4 going into the second quarter (16-20). NCC tried to close the gap, however, Presentation continued their offensive momentum and led by 9 at the half (25-34).
The Sentinels stuck with Presentation for the beginning of the third quarter, but an 11-1 run from Presentation midway through the quarter gave them a 23-point advantage over NCC (32-55). At the end of the third quarter, NCC trailed by 15 points (42-57). The Sentinels attempted to cut into the lead, but in the end Presentation came out with the 17-point win (54-71).
Kayla Bloodworth led the Sentinels with 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 blocks.
Jazmyne Santiel finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.
For Presentation, Shayla Strauss and April Hudelson scored 16 points.
Next, the Sentinels will host Central Christian College of the Bible on Friday, November 9 at 5p.m.
