NCC Men's Soccer traveled to Lincoln, Illinois to take on Lincoln Christian University on October 20.
 
Lincoln Christian scored right out of the gate, putting the Sentinel down one goal early in the first half. As the first half progressed, Lincoln Christian scored a second goal, increasing the deficit to 0-2. NCC found a window and secured their first goal of the game, making the score 1-2. Before halftime, Lincoln Christian scored one more goal, making the halftime score 1-3 in favor of Lincoln Christian.
 
In the second half, the Sentinels were the first to score, closing in on Lincoln Christian 2-3. NCC worked for the remainder of the half to tie the game, however, both teams remained scoreless for the rest of the second half. In the end, the Sentinels fought hard but came up short 2-3 against Lincoln Christian.
 
Zach Gomez and Jael Resendiz each scored one goal for the Sentinels and goalkeeper Eddy Gomez recorded 12 saves.
 
For Lincoln Christian, Nathan Parks scored two goals.
 
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Leavenworth, Kansas to take on University of St. Mary on Wednesday, October 24.
