The Sentinels Cruise By Ecclesia
NCC Women's basketball hosted the Ecclesia College Royals on January 6.
The Sentinels came out of the gate strong both offensively and defensively, outscoring the Royals 20-5 in the first quarter. NCC doubled their lead form 15 points to 30 points by halftime. The Sentinels held a 46-16 lead going into the half.
NCC led by as many as 36 in the third quarter, but a 13-0 from Ecclesia cut the lead to 23 going into the fourth quarter. The Sentinels maintained a solid lead during the fourth quarter and ultimately came out with the 81-52 victory over the Royals.
Kayla Bloodworth recorded her second triple double of the season and sixth career with 24 points, a career-high 22 rebounds, and a career-high 14 blocks.
Alexis Frondarina totaled 18 points and had 7 assists.
Jerrica Perez contributed 10 points and 7 assists.
Ecclesia's leading scorers were Dara Smith and Haley Gresham each with 15 points.
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Bellevue, NE to take on Bellevue University on Tuesday, January 9 at 5p.m.
