The Sentinels Come Out on Top Against Barclay
NCC Women's Basketball traveled to Haviland, Kansas to take on Barclay College on Friday, December 1.
The Sentinels led by as many as 9 in the first quarter. At the end of the first quarter, NCC led by 7 (18-11). NCC continued to build their lead in the second quarter, extending the lead to 17 points with just under a minute left in the half. At the half, the Sentinels led 38-23.
In the third quarter, Barclay managed to bring the lead down to 9, but the Sentinels held them from coming any closer. Going into the fourth quarter, NCC held a 12-point advantage over Barclay (51-39). The Sentinels continued their lead in the fourth quarter and ultimately came out with the 68-55 victory over Barclay.
Kayla Bloodworth recorded her 7
th double double of the season with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Bloodworth also had 5 blocks. Alexis Frondarina totaled 16 points and 4 steals.
Barclay's leading scorer was Sarah Easterwood with 19 points, followed by Angellica Cuellar with 15 points.
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Manhattan, KS to take on Manhattan Christian College on Saturday, December 2 at 2p.m.
