NCC Defeats Faith Baptist

NCC Women's Basketball traveled to Ankeny, Iowa to take on Faith Baptist Bible College on December 12.
 
The Sentinels came out strong, gaining a 17-point lead in the first quarter (23-6). Faith Baptist ended the quarter with four unanswered points making the score 23-10 going into the second quarter. The Sentinels continued to extend their lead in the second quarter leading by 23 at the half (47-24).
 
NCC picked up where they left off in the second half, with a 31-point advantage at the end of the third quarter. In the end, the Sentinels came out with the 77-50 win over Faith Baptist.
 
Kayla Bloodworth recorded the first triple double in NCC history and her fifth career with a back-to-back career high 26 points along with 18 rebounds and 13 blocks, tying her career high in blocks. Alexis Frondarina totaled 26 points, including 5-5 from the free throw line.
 
Faith Baptist's leading scorer was Lyndi Shepard with 16 points.
 
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Joplin, MO to take on Ozark Christian College on Thursday, December 14 at 4p.m.
