NCC Falls to Morningside
NCC Men's Basketball traveled to Sioux City, Iowa to take on Morningside College on December 7.
DJ Hanes led the Sentinels from the early minutes of the game, gaining them and early 8-2 advantage. However, a 19-4 run from Morningside gave them the 24-16 lead. NCC worked to regain the lead, but only managed to come within 4 points of Morningside. At the end of the half, Morningside led by 15 (50-35). In the second half, Morningside continued to build on their lead, extending their lead to 27 with 9 minutes remaining. In the end, Morningside came out with the 97-73 victory over the Sentinels.
DJ Hanes led the Sentinels with 38 points. Devin Jones and Jadyn Flowers each totaled 7 points.
Morningside's leading scorers were Alex Borchers and Zach Imig each with 16 points.
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Ankeny, IA to take on Faith Baptist Bible College on Tuesday, December 12 at 7p.m.
