NCC Defeats Barclay
NCC Men's Basketball traveled to Haviland, Kansas to take on Barclay College on Friday, December 1.
The Sentinels held the lead for the majority of the first half, leading by as many as 20 points. At the half, the NCC led by 12 (55-43). In the second half, Barclay managed to get the lead down to single digits, pulling to within 7 of NCC. However, a 15-2 run from the Sentinels extended their lead back up to 19 with 4 minutes remaining. In the end, the Sentinels came out with the 101-77. NCC improved to 7-2 and Barclay still searches for their first win at 0-11.
DJ Hanes led the Sentinels with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Chrys Jackson totaled 21 points and TJ Rivera 17 points.
Barclay's leading scorer was Jay Milton with 21 points followed by Lex Pena with 16 points.
Next, the Sentinels will travel to Manhattan, KS to take on NCCAA DII #10 ranked Manhattan Christian College on Saturday, December 2 at 4p.m.
