On Saturday, September 7th the NCC Women's Soccer Team hosted Presentation College. Each team was seeking their first victory of the season, but Coach McLean of Presentation helped guide his girls to a 9-0 victory.

Presentation controlled possession to begin the game and tested Sentinel Goalkeeper Camry Porter several times in the first half. Despite a good effort, the Saints were still able to score 4 goals in the first half – 3 of which came in a 4 minute flurry around the 22 minute mark.

The Saints put the game away with 2 quick goals to begin the second half. Even with the game out of reach, the Sentinels continued to battle and made some late runs. In the final 15 minutes of the game, the fresh legs from the Saints yielded the final 3 goals of the contest.

Despite the loss, Coach Tosaya was impressed with the effort and toughness his team showed. "Many of our girls have played a lot of minutes and continue to improve even if it hasn't shown up on the scoreboard."

Both teams will play again on Wednesday, September 11th. Presentation (1-3-0) will be hosting Dordt College and the Sentinel Women (0-2-0) will be at home against Mount Marty College (1-0-0) .
